Chapter Two
I'd just reached the outskirts of the city when their sirens began to fade and eventually disappear again. They'd probably search the licence plate number and find out who actually owned the car, which put me at ease. Except they'd seen me instead of the real owner, and would most likely suspect I stole the car. Which I did. I wasn't sure whether running off with someone else's car and a dead body in the trunk was such a smart idea, but I knew it'd be better off than staying in the city and suffering the consequences.
The road was rough, loose gravel and hot tarmac attacked the tyres with ferocity as I drove further and further out into the desert. I could see more sand and less buildings with each minute that passed. I was becoming unsure as to how I'd survive out here; of course, it depended on how long I'd have to lie low. Without money or food and water (not to mention a quarter-full tank of gas), I couldn't last more than a week. I had to think of something quick.

Extension 2 Chapter One
Chapter One
All problems have a cause, no matter how big or small they are. Unfortunately, the cause of one of the biggest problems of my adult life happened to be the love of my life: Maria.
She was an Italian beauty; long, flowing black hair, beautiful emerald eyes, full pouting lips, and skin as smooth as the surface of seawater. She had an incredible sense of humour, and was one of the most intelligent women I knew. I was surprised when she first asked me out – at the beginning of 1997 I was the only black man at our college, and as soon as I laid eyes on her I knew I'd never have a chance in hell of experiencing her perfection. I was wrong.
The following four years were the best years of my life. Maria taught me how to love, how to draw in all the beauty of life and how never to let go of whom you truly are. She was my enlightenment; I'd longed for someone to show me where my place in life was, but Maria taught me how to make my own place. Her power and resilience always asto

Practice Intro
There used to be a time in my life when there was no excitement. No happiness, no laughter... nothing. My girlfriend and I barely talked, rarely made love, and basically didn't give two shits about one another. I'd be lying if I said I'd hated her, though.  She was alright, not a bad body, but it was impossible to have a sustained conversation with her.
She'd dropped out of school at sixteen to become a hairdresser, but then gave that up and worked the streets instead. She was heavily addicted to alcohol and smoked close to two cigarette packets a day. We met when she was twenty-one. She was illiterate, drug-ridden, homeless and bankrupt - not to mention the herpes. I found that one out the hard way. Still, I took her in, sobered her up, and slowly began to develop feelings for her. Until I realised there was no intelligence or charm behind that naive smile; just a girl who had lost her childhood but not her innocence. She wandered through life aimlessly, without any second t

Through The Looking Glass by Mauvaise-Humeur Through The Looking Glass :iconmauvaise-humeur:Mauvaise-Humeur 1 0
I'd never really realised how alone we were out there in the outback until I took an evening walk that cold June night. I'd just had a shower; beads of clean, fresh water cascaded down my back and dripped from my butt onto the dry red earth on which I stood. I wore a thick brown towel around my head, and nothing else. I didn't need to worry about being seen - there was no civilisation for at least a hundred miles in every direction. It was just me and the moon, which lit up the land and everything living on it like the warm, dazed afternoon sun. But it was cold and stark, hanging there in the night sky like an infant's crib mobile, with a luminous glow similar to polished silver. I craned my head upwards whilst holding the towel atop my head. 'Such amazing nothingness', I thought. No clouds, no stars; just a large beaming disk smiling down on the earth with a sense of irony - everything was illuminated as if it were daytime, but the rich dark sky suggested otherwise.
A chilled breeze t

This stuff is awesome! :D

I am a very self-directed artist. I do a lot of anime and abstract work, but also delve into the world of photography from time to time. I wish I was able to do computer artwork, but doing traditional work doesn't bother me much. I hope to attend Sydney College of the Arts, maybe do a Bachelor of Visual Arts.

If I get my ass into gear, perhaps I have a chance... :D

Omg, can't believe my luck!
Last Sunday, my mum went to check the mail and found a letter from UAC (centre for uni admissions). I thought it was just another letter to confirm my dismal HSC results (I achieved a pretty average 74.5 ATAR.... actually not too bad), but when I opened it I found a letter detailing a university offer from Sydney College of the Arts, and a pamphlet from the university itself congratulating me and instructing me on how to enrol. Good thing I didn't throw that letter away!  :P
Mum and Athol (my stepdad) screamed in joy... and I kinda went, "Oh... wow. Cool." haha
Very surreal feeling to know you'll be attending uni when you were planning to get a full-time job and waste the rest of your life behind an office desk. Hopefully I'll get a more interesting job than that!  hehe

Bye!  :-)
